
Become an official member of the AlterHeros organization
AlterHéros is a not-for-profit organization, located in Montreal, Canada. Anyone interested in our mission can become a member of our organization.
Why should I become a member?
- To be involved in a community group that cares for queer youth and is involved in the battle against homophobia.
- To be informed of the business affairs of the organization
- To have the right to speak, to propose resolutions, and to vote at the tim eof the general assemblies.
- To receive our exclusive newsletter for members only
- To influence the organization's overall directions and strategies.
What are the member rights?
- To speak, to propose resolutions, and to vote at the general assemblies.
- To consult, following a written request to the secretary, the official reports or minutes of the Board of Directors meetings and other documents of the corporation.
- To obtain, upon request or at the time of the annual general assembly, a copy of the financial statements and annual report of the last fiscal year.
Who can become member?
- Any individual can become a member of AlterHeros upon the condition of providing the necessary information requested and that he/she respects the purpose and general by-laws as well as the code of ethics of the organization. Click here to read them.
- Any individual who can attend the general assembly held in Montreal (Canada) during the month of April.
- Any individual that fill out the membership form (must confirm his/her membership by email if electronic is used) and received a confirmation by AlterHeros.
Important information.
- The duration of the membership is one (1) year and is renewable annually. It expires the 1st of April of each year.
- Following the 1st of April, all member will receive a renewal notice by email.
- It will also be possible to renew the membership at the general annual assembly.
- The subscription to the AlterHeros E-zine is not an official membersip of the organization.
- The support of our "Join the troop" and/or "Declaration of the allies" section is not an official membersip of the organization.
