Do you have suggestions to improve the situations of GLB youth in schools?

I am a mother of a gay teenager who has been harassed at school for four years. It came to the forefront this year. The high school has been helpful and has made small moves to change the climate of the school, but the superintendents at the school board refused to meet with me. I put together a comprehensive binder of gay and lesbian related articles, policies, human rights codes and more. I have met with many people in the background but want to meet the powers that be face to face and get real changes in policy and behaviours. Do you have any suggestions to ensure success? My son and his family wish that no other young person will be subjected to the verbal abuse that continually goes on. – Ellie
