Transgender Youth on Television
On October 13, 2004, an hour-long documentary aired on CBC television on the subject of transsexuality. The main subject of the documentary was Ayden, a 17-year old female-to-male transsexual living in Toronto. With great optimism and trust that the CBC would do a good job presenting this topic, word of the show was spread around the internet, advising people to tune in. Unfortunately, the interview focused on why not to transition, why it is a mistake, and why Ayden, specifically, is making a mistake.
