Out of The Shadows and Into The Light

June 4th: National Fight Against Homophobia Day
Montreal, June 4, 2003 – It was a day well-anticipated, one that the Foundation Emergence had prepared for sometime – the first National Fight Against Homophobia Day. The first of many to come since the Québec National Assembly will soon declare the first Wednesday of every June to be devoted to this day. This day included an official opening ceremony, followed by a press conference and a gathering where significant researchers provided insight into their studies.

Not Another Neurotic Gay Teen Story!
In retrospect, I should’ve known all along that I was a poof. All the signs seemed to be neon and flashing: I was always best friends with the chicks of whatever new school my parents had plonked me in. I was never the sporty type, possessing the hand-eye coordination of your average shellfish. And ooh, ooh, I also had a lack of decent father figures!
