On April 1st, at Alterheros’ annual general meeting, Marc-Olivier Ouellet officially stepped down as the president and founder of the Alterheros Internet portal. Almost four years after creating this innovative awareness-building tool to demystify homosexuality and homophobia, Marc-Olivier can be proud that his brainchild has recently welcomed its one-millionth visitor!

On March the 11th, the 1st Allostars Gala was held at the prestigious Downtown Delta Hotel. This gala was the culminating point of the Allostars competition whose goal was to reward the exceptional involvement of individuals or organization of the queer community world in 2005-2006.

During a press conference in Montreal held at the Serge et Réal Bookstore on February 9th, 2006, the QAQY (Quebec Alliance of Queer Youth) announced its list of finalist for the first annual Allostars Gala, an event that has been created to recognize the work of queer youth. We are pleased to be among six out of the twenty finalists!
